Rizi, the Alien
Rizi's dream vacation had suddenly turned into a nightmare. All his plans of roaming around Earth exploring and enjoying with his family had vanished. He had got separated from his family and was now left alone! What was he to do? He was only a small child. And that too an alien! He had arrived on Earth only a couple of hours ago. He was so mesmerised by the beauty of this planet that he had left the spaceship alone to venture out for some exploration. It was only after sometime that he realised that his spaceship had gone. He was left all alone to wander in this strange planet. Struck with horror and disbelief, Rizi wandered aimlessly in the narrow and cluttered by-lanes of this strange yet fascinating city. How strange the inhabitants of Earth seemed! It was good that Rizi knew the art of being invisible or else he would have been in trouble today.
Tired and hungry, Rizi decided to slip into the house at the end of the lane to take some rest and, hopefully, some food. The house had a warm and welcoming look and Rizi soon found himself inside the kitchen. To his surprise, there lay on the centre table, a cake! A delicious-looking strawberry cake! What else could he have asked for! Without wasting a second he grabbed the cake and started chomping it greedily. Suddenly, he heard the noise of approaching footsteps. Not wanting to be caught, Rizi put down the half-eaten cake on the table.
There appeared in the kitchen, a young boy, Bubble, who was of about Rizi's height. Startled by the sudden chomping noise, Bubble had come to check his cake. As soon as Bubble saw the half-eaten cake he went into a tizzy and started crying uncontrollably. Rizi sure had offended him by eating his cake. Before Rizi could react, Bubble started muttering to himself, 'How can this be possible? Who has eaten this cake? There is no one in the house. Oh God! I had brought this cake for Mother's surprise birthday party tonight. And someone has spoilt it! How will I get another birthday cake at this short notice? The whole surprise party will be spoilt. God! Please help me!' Saying this, Bubble again broke into tears.
Rizi felt sad for Bubble. He was a good alien who never wanted to hurt anyone. And here, he had hurt a little boy unknowingly.
How could he make up for his mistake? He pondered a little and decided to help Bubble. He was the one who had got Bubble into trouble and so he should be the one who should get him out of it. Gathering all his courage, Rizi slowly walked up to Bubble and made himself visible. And oh! what a shock it was for Bubble!
Poor boy almost froze with terror! Rizi immediately tried to calm him down 'Don't panic friend! I am not a ghost. I will not harm you in any way.' Bubble, still petrified, asked, 'Who are you? Have you eaten my cake?' Rizi then narrated his story to Bubble who now looked sympathetically towards him. I am sorry I ate your cake and spoilt your surprise party,' said Rizi. 'But I can help you in baking a fresh cake.' 'Oh! That will be great, Bubble jumped with excitement. So Rizi and Bubble baked a fresh strawberry cake. And not just that, together they decorated the entire house. Rizi was happy that he could help Bubble, but at the same time he felt a little sad as he was missing his parents.
And lo! Suddenly there appeared from the window his parents! They had been frantically looking for him everywhere and had finally located him on their special radar. Rizi thanked Bubble and promised to visit him again. He had found a good friend on this amazing planet named Earth!
